Mum on print ad

This ad appeared on several Chinese dailies the last couple of days.

The lady in the ad is my mum, and the kiddos are my niece and nephew. The gentleman is unrelated to us.

My first reaction when I saw the ad? It was awkward seeing mum posing with another man surrounded by her grandchildren – how wonderful it would be if it was my late dad sitting there.

Happy Chinese New Year dad, wherever you may be.

Irene - yes, our girls are in the same class. I saw Vic's name in the class list when I collected the books last year, and saw your hubby settling Vic in class on the first day.

I went to read your dad's passing post. Do not feel guilty ya. All things happened for a reason and he is definitely in a better place now with no pain. However as I read the post, it reminds me of my relationship with my dad and I should spend more time with him. But but the barrier seems to be there. anyway will try..

Happy Chinese New Year to you n famiy.

Little Lamb - I've read some of your posts wrt your relationship with your dad. Deep down, I'm sure he loves you lots, though he may not show his affections openly. Please do spend time with him, and put aside any barriers, so you will not have any regrets later.
