Disney World - Part 2

Saturday, March 3 - Epcot

Epcot encompasses Future World, a series of corporate-sponsored attractions, and World Showcase, which painstakingly recreates 11 countries, staffed by citizen of each. Among the sponsors of Future World are Siemens, HP, General Motors, Nestle and Kodak while World Showcase features Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, USA, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada. I gave World Showcase a miss as I wanted to spend more time at Disney-MGM Studio.

My first expedition of the morning was Mission: SPACE. It was as close as I could get to blasting off into space without having to go through the rigmaroles of the Malaysian Astronaut Program. I got to feel the G force of a space launch and experience how it's like to be in zero gravity. The cosmic mission had us dodging meteors before crash landing on Mars, or was it the moon we landed on? This was definitely the most exhilarating interactive experience I've had. After the excitement of going into space, I took a slow cruise through different ecosystems such as the tropical rain forest, the African desert and the American plains in Living with the Land. Next was climbing into a "clamobile" to voyage beneath the deep blue sea to greet Nemo, Marlin, Dory in The Seas with Nemo & Friends. I had to give Soarin' a miss, despite that being one of the must-do in Epcot as the Fastpass return time was in 2.5 hours, and I didn't have that much time to spare. So there goes my free flying hang gliding adventure! I left Epcot for Disney-MGM Studio just before 12 noon.
